There are few events more spectacular than watching a dark night sky brilliantly explode with fountains of color cascading in symphony with music.

  • expect challenges...they help built your character and give you stories to share. Take a few minutes to acknowledge the obstacle or problem but spend most of your time talking about a solution.
  • concentrate on your strengths, not your weaknesses...we all have both. You don't see
    Michael Jordan sitting around trying to decipher a strand of DNA…his strengths are sports and business.
  • focus on the future. Set a clear picture in your mind of where you want to be three years from now and take action to move towards that image. Why spend more time than necessary on worrying about the spent currency of the past? Spend your time wisely today to finance your future tomorrow.
  • do what other successful people do in order to learn how to use your mind to exert mental control over situations. Make a habit of looking for the answers to your questions
  • be cheerful most of the time with a Positive Mental Attitude. There is a lesson to be learned from all situations to help you expand, grow and become better
  • get a pen or pencil and paper...success can be as basic as thinking on paper. Take some time to write out every detail of an encountered problem and then the most logical next step to solve it. Make a list of goals and ideas. See great lesson plans on setting TWO GOALS.
  • practice, drill, rehearse, practice, drill, rehearse...fight through fears and “what-if’s” to eliminate excuses and recondition the mind to your betterment.
  • get energized, excited and optimistic! Get your dreams buzzing so you can hardly stand the possibility..sort of like watching fireworks. Be brilliant, even if your talent is just reading and sharing, and be practical to share this brilliance.

If you are serious about a profitable home business, the time has come to go on offense and demand some empathy.

Our current economic problems face real systemic causes that won’t go away or return to “glory days” of good paying jobs for a lifetime of honest work and retirement benefits. This is insane and unjust to prey on people’s emotional needs with a business system that defies logical implementation by the average non-business person.

Let’s add some empathy to this home business.

Empathy can be simply described as seeing through another person’s eyes and walking in another person’s shoes.

It is the basis of our democracy. As networkers we can share a great capacity to care, to feel what others feel, to understand what others are facing and what their lives are like
Our network marketing business is set up on principles that I can only make money if I help or empower you first to make money.

A democratic home business plan must be able to perform fairly for everyone, not just veteran networkers or the rich and powerful or autocratic leaders.

Autocratic means controlling power is held by a single, self-appointed leader versus democratic where the masses of people have the power. The point here, is there are too many home business systems advocated by top leaders that appeal to other top leaders with equal abilities. These complex marketing systems are fashioned to groom other top leaders so they can also become “I am an expert brand..so follow my rulings.”

NEWSFLASH: network marketing is not about duplicating self-branded experts..it is the only home business model that comes close to an equal opportunity for regular masses of people.

It provides both a social and personal responsibility to make the future better by making people better, more self empowered, as well as protect people from unfair practices and expectations.

It’s a sign of the times that there are a lot of people looking at building their own personal economy with a profitable home business. The majority cast their eyes toward a potential network marketing business for a host of benefits based on the founding principle that every person with above-average dreams can start a home business with minimal capital and earn residual income.

It is a home business based on leverage and duplication at the grassroots level.

One of the foremost philosophers for home business entrepreneurs is Jim Rohn. Nobody can craft the English language…personalize abstract concepts to concrete forms or metaphors to better understand a bigger, more integrated process.

Facing the Enemies Within...

The second enemy we face is indecision.

Indecision is the thief of opportunity and enterprise. It will
steal your chances for a better future. Take a sword to this enemy.

The third enemy inside is doubt.

Sure, there's room for healthy skepticism. You can't believe
everything. But you also can't let doubt take over. Many people
doubt the past, doubt the future, doubt each other, doubt the
government, doubt the possibilities and doubt the opportunities.
Worse of all, they doubt themselves. I'm telling you, doubt will
destroy your life and your chances of success. It will empty both
your bank account and your heart. Doubt is an enemy Go after it.
Get rid of it.

The fourth enemy within is worry.

We've all got to worry some. Just don't let it conquer you.
Instead, let it alarm you. Worry can be useful. If you step off the
curb in New York City and a taxi is coming, you've got to worry.
But you can't let worry loose like a mad dog that drives you into a
small corner. Here's what you've got to do with your worries: drive
them into a small corner. Whatever is out to get you, you've got to
get it. Whatever is pushing on you, you've got to push back.

The fifth interior enemy is over-caution.

It is the timid approach to life. Timidity is not a virtue; it's an
illness. If you let it go, it'll conquer you. Timid people don't
get promoted. They don't advance and grow and become powerful in
the marketplace. You've got to avoid over-caution.

Do battle with the enemy. Do battle with your fears. Build your
courage to fight what's holding you back, what's keeping you from
your goals and dreams. Be courageous in your life and in your
pursuit of the things you want and the person you want to become.

What works best in this special network marketing home business: selling or educating?


I always enjoy speaking with home-based business opportunity seekers. They have so many good questions that require proper, hype-free answers. I can relate to my first efforts in starting a home business by following a program without a proper overview of how this special home business worked. I followed with “blind faith” that the master marketer would inspire more and more “followers.” Unfortunately, this home business model based on network marketing concepts doesn’t work that way.
So my main answers are to make sure new people understand the foundational principles of network marketing. This will ensure that common mistakes can be avoided, and unnecessary costs eliminated and time saved. After all, customers buying important products for personal use are the basis of long –term commissions.


One of the most common questions is related to selling. Do I have to sell anything? I have no experience. I don’t like sales. After all, customers buying important products for personal use are the basis of long-term commissions.

These concerns and fears are absolutely relevant. How about you? Do you feel that you are unable to sell, or may even see selling as negative. Perhaps you may have had a past experience where you have been pushed into buying something you didn't want, or felt hassled by a salesperson.

The process of selling is an exchange of information between two people talking…one is looking for a solution to a problem..the other is providing some answers.
Both ways, they are selling each other whether about the problem or the solution. At the end, one person will “sell” the other.."my problems are too great" or "your solution seems the right first step to take." Our consumer society shows we are always willing to exchange money to buy if we find what we want.

The fact is that there are both very good and very bad sales people! Bad sales people are only interested in what they will personally get out of the sale and will use every tactic to close the deal for their own gain.
A good sales person will not sell something to anyone unless they truly believe that they will benefit from it. They will ensure all important questions are answered and if someone is still not interested, then they will stop pushing.
