If you are serious about a profitable home business, the time has come to go on offense and demand some empathy.

Our current economic problems face real systemic causes that won’t go away or return to “glory days” of good paying jobs for a lifetime of honest work and retirement benefits. Many of us are searching for a simple, profitable home business by looking at the network marketing model for many reasons. But our decision-making process should not be based on desperation or promise you-the-moon sales pitches but on careful education and deliberation of multiple factors. And the final decision should be based on fairness for all because the key to this simple home business is duplication of a simple home business..nothing more, nothing less.

Network marketing is the only true democratic home business model based on the founding principle that an average person with above average dreams can start with minimal capital and earn high potential profits by helping others to do the same, irrespective of age, gender, status, background, or education.

They are directed to pay the highest prices for the highest hopes possible. Then after spending a few hundred dollars they receive a few hundred hours of training material and ongoing calls. This will, supposedly, not only inspire confidence in themselves but have enough left-over enthusiasm to spread their promise of high hope to other people.

This is insane and unjust to prey on people’s emotional needs with a business system that defies logical implementation by the average non-business person.

Let’s add some empathy to this home business.

Empathy can be simply described as seeing through another person’s eyes and walking in another person’s shoes.

It is the basis of our democracy. As networkers we can share a great capacity to care, to feel what others feel, to understand what others are facing and what their lives are like
Our network marketing business is set up on principles that I can only make money if I help or empower you first to make money.

A democratic home business plan must be able to perform fairly for everyone, not just veteran networkers or the rich and powerful or autocratic leaders.

Autocratic means controlling power is held by a single, self-appointed leader versus democratic where the masses of people have the power. The point here, is there are too many home business systems advocated by top leaders that appeal to other top leaders with equal abilities. These complex marketing systems are fashioned to groom other top leaders so they can also become “I am an expert brand..so follow my rulings.”

NEWSFLASH: network marketing is not about duplicating self-branded experts..it is the only home business model that comes close to an equal opportunity for regular masses of people.

It provides both a social and personal responsibility to make the future better by making people better, more self empowered, as well as protect people from unfair practices and expectations.

What works best for a network marketing home business..a special magnetic builder or simple democratic blueprint?

Nothing else comes close to the potential of a network marketing home business for all the right reasons...leverage professional expertise, duplication, residual income cashflow, success, retirement security, lifetime independence. Once a networker always a networker because we don’t easily accept the status quo and dream of possibilities for our children and grandchildren.


I am still reaching for my dream aspirations but there is nothing finer than to sit and talk about potential and prosperity and what I can do_______ with time and money freedom. Sure beats complaining and worrying about economic circumstances that are beyond our control.

So it bothers me to see this industry over the years develop a dominant hierarchy as all institutions tend to do. A bit of calcification and "barnaclization" has set into this ship of state build on simple routines. And now it is the upper crust, the captains, if you wish, that are setting the standards for success based on their experiences, partnerships, resources and their money to buy massive advertising.

No wonder public perception keeps a wary eye on a home business model where only 3 to 5% are as successful as they wish. Would you start a home business with those odds..I hope not.

Another statistic is that 85% of successful networkers are former small business owners who are well experienced with standard business principles of marketing and communication which they can now transfer into a multiple-level arena and make multiple profits all the way to the bank.

Along with well-honed business skills, they can probably be described as having magnetic profiles capable of drawing others into their sphere of influence. Some “gurus” actually use the term “biological components” and label successful people as Demonstrators of Higher Value or DOVH’s.

Other regular people are termed as Demonstrators of Lower Value or DOLV’s. Can you believe this terminology is really happening and continues to appeal to those “alpha’ recruiters?

I don’t know about you but this definitely smacks of some kind of discrimination or inequality in an enterprise built on the foundation of democracy and freedom.

So here are some tips for DOVH’S to build and duplicate their home business. It is called “passing the test” and seems like a lot of physical components to bring the structure together.. (Susan Boyle need not apply)
  • be fit and healthy..shows more self-respect
  • be a good dresser..no fashion sense conveys a lack of social intelligence
  • be confident..self-controlled able to maintain and stare down eye contact
  • be cheerful with a ready smile and sense of humor..no negative vibes
  • be aware of natural attention or validation by others as a leader..stay unaffected ..
  • be the first to lead interactions and conversations…speak with volume and confidence

Now here are two real issues…

First, for too long now these human dynamics by top leadership rulers in this industry have kept the majority of people eating humble pie believing they need to be super models. In order to achieve, they are offered whole mentorship programs, modules, training seminars and more out-of-pocket expenses. Not only does the average networker suffer trying to meet unrealistic expectations but we can’t sponsor others to do this leadership attraction model.


Second, the network marketing home business is the only true democratic home business where equality of opportunity is based on a simple marketing plan. It is duplicating a simple business system, a one page blueprint, that makes 97% of networkers able to do and believe in.

And, for goodness sakes, it doesn’t matter your condition (or objection), irrespective of race, gender, age, size or shape, education, training, status, poor or rich, white color, blue collar, executive, student, or teacher.

Everyone has equality of opportunity because everyone can share a simple blueprint for business duplication.


This is the real founding principle of the great grassroots industry.

Four Words Every Home Business Owner Must Say...PART 4

I CAN DO IT

So far, in Part 1, we saw how self-concept determines your destination and both are relative to a successful marketing plan. In Part 2, we saw how a simple “song” or marketing plan is easier to deliver and fun. In Part 3 we saw how a simple formula can transform basic ideas into wonderful successful creations over and over again, even if you’re not a “guru”.
Part 4 is the last analogy that compares a concrete object we know a lot about to a
more abstract realization of one’s dream lifestyle with a home business.

These hopes and dreams will become a concrete reality with these simple words:
I CAN DO IT

We all have a can’t-live-without-them affair with CARS, sooner or later, as singular or plural experiences.
Who doesn’t remember their first car...the thrill of independence...the call of adventure.
Cars in their own rights have sported exotic imagination names like Mustang, Infinity, Explorer, Viper, Celebrity, Dynasty, LeBaron, and Phantom.

Besides these imaginary traits, cars are indispensable to our way of life. Here are some interesting facts:
Average car is driven 15,000 miles annually
The cost of driving is far more expensive than gas when you take into account sales tax, registration fees, maintenance and repairs.
Depreciation is the largest cost factor (2007 Consumer Reports) and can account for up to 48% of total ownership costs.
Fuel is the second highest cost factor per year soaking up 21% ownership cost.

So how does driving a car relate to building a profitable home business?

In a nutshell, it is the marketing plan that “drives” sales and income for business owners.
You may have the best “mousetrap” in the world but if no one hears about it, no one will beat a path to your door.

It is especially true if you have a network marketing home business that plugs you into a large company where you help market their products to earn multiple commissions.

Your income will reflect how well you can “drive” home the marketing plan.

Let’s do some creative thinking. What if marketing plans were cars?

Plan A is a simple basic car with standard features:
A phone number, a website and an overview with inbuilt industry component

Plan B is a more complicated car with extra features and specialties best managed by trained operators...there are company conference calls, upline 3 way calls, training sessions, presentations, follow-ups, more products and features and testimonials.
It follows logically that the more technicalities presented, the more objections and the less number of operators are willing or able to take on the driving challenge.

On the other hand with a simple basic car the personal comfort levels increase. Everybody can drive this car. Your manual is minimal…cuts back hugely on time and expenses. Your odds of finding other willing and able drivers dramatically increase.
This is true duplication of a business plan that can lead to fortunes being created in this industry especially with an inbuilt industry training component found in Plan A.
Duplicating the marketing plan is the essential factor directly related to your profits.

You can consider the “fuel” to drive your marketing plan as the Business Opportunity which is constantly perceived differently by people and therefore nearly impossible to control. But the marketing plan must be the same vehicle, same delivery, same results, same financial destination.

In designing the slide presentation in the Mini-Program for Maxi-Profits, I chose the symbol of a basic red car to represent the concept of a marketing plan.

It is meant to be the opposite of high-powered marketing plans used by guru drivers. They have the public persona, the skills to handle high tech, high performance features like 432 horsepower, radio data responders, telescopic steering, high maintenance, and higher cost premium gas. Their audiences may admire their skills and unbounded ambition and success. Some may even try and emulate their skill and “drive their complicated marketing plans,” and most times they drop out of the race. THEY CAN’T DO IT!

Of course, you will always find the super salespeople who will roar into high gear.
But how many others audience members will they attract to do the same? In my experience, one or two, because this network marketing business is not about sales but duplication of marketing plan. And the great news is VELOCITY IS DETERMINED by SIMPLICITY and YOU CAN DO IT!

If you learn nothing else from this short series of I CAN DO IT, make sure you understand this statement perfectly. It can mean the difference in your ability to live in poverty or in wealth.
After all, “ability is a poor man’s wealth”.

And the special network marketing home business, more than any other business model, offers the one chance to duplicate average ability to the democratic masses.

I listened recently to a short video presentation about a young entrepreneur who has an absolutely unusual way of deciding which potential million dollar business to build based on a peculiar business model. Can his business plan be explained to future partners on a dinner napkin? And can his partners explain the same business plan on a dinner napkin to other prospects?

The key here is marketing with obvious simple duplication.

He continued to draw a regular sized napkin and divide it into quarters. Each quarter represented a special function.
First, start with a capture email page with a low ticket offer.
Next, proceed to a small ticket upsell where as many as 30% of customers begin to feel comfortable with the buying process. Then, everyone is dropped into an email follow-up system called a Continuity Program. Finally, the big ticket item is produced and supported with call centers, webinars, and email contacts and updates. At any time, potential customers can remove themselves from the marketing funnel.

This program started a personal evaluation. Can my small home business be explained on a single dinner napkin? I believe so, but even in a more simplified way.

First: Invite potential prospects to listen to an overview call about the home business opportunity.

Simple Does as Simple Sees...marketing that works

Current economic times are turbulent, home businesses are booming, information is overwhelming..where do you begin to make an intelligent, comprehensive search?

In all sincerity, let's say you decide to look at one of the fastest growing trends; namely, a network marketing home business. You’re bright eyed and freshfaced and have a strong desire to do well. You want catch this train to a five or six digit income and not be left standing on the sidelines.
But how many times have I seen this happen with new people?
